Is my data private?
How does autofill work?
Store your information once in your vault. Upload a fillable PDF, Word document, or Excel intake sheet and FillOnce detects the fields and suggests matches from your vault. You review and approve document fields before export. The browser extension handles standards-based web forms with one-click fill, then stops so you can review the page and submit it yourself. It never submits a form for you.
What file types are supported?
Fillable PDFs (AcroForm), Word (.docx) with merge tokens, content controls, or labels with real blanks, Excel (.xlsx) or CSV label/value intake sheets, and CSV/TSV field lists for vault import work today. Flat (non-fillable) PDFs are in beta — values are drawn as a text overlay, so preview the exported file carefully. Scanned images can use browser OCR after unlock. The maximum upload size is 10 MB.
PDF opens inside Chrome — can the extension fill it?
No. When a PDF opens in Chrome's built-in viewer, the extension cannot read form fields from that tab. Download the PDF, then upload it in Dashboard → Forms to fill it from your vault. Standards-based HTML web forms in normal tabs are supported by the extension.
Why doesn't the extension fill every website?
Many pages use closed shadow DOM, canvas widgets, or cross-origin embeds the browser will not let extensions read. FillOnce fills standards-based HTML (including open shadow DOM and allowlisted Greenhouse, Lever, Workday Jobs, and iCIMS embeds). On multi-step applications, click Fill this page again when new fields appear — we never auto-submit or silently fill sensitive fields.
Filling a form for a family member
On a document's review screen, use the “This form is about” selector to choose which household member the form is for. Suggestions and the export are then drawn from that person's vault data. The Family plan supports up to 6 household members.
Billing & cancellation
Manage your plan, payment method, and invoices from Dashboard → Billing. Cancel anytime from the billing portal; your plan stays active until the end of the current period, no claw-backs, no “hard cancel” tricks.
Export or delete my data
You can export your full vault (encrypted JSON) and delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your vault, documents, generated files, and cancels any active subscription.
